The production of aluminium (alloy) wire is still one of our core activities. As an integrated producer we use aluminium for the production of wire rod, drawn wire, sector wire and cable for low, medium and high voltage applications. The numerous advantages of our broad product line are also clearly reflected in our market share: Lamifil holds no less than 15% of the western European market!
Furthermore, the company is equipped with a continuous wire rod rolling mill with sophisticated alloying and rolling equipment, modern heat treatment facilities and numerous machines for wire drawing and stranding. Clearly, Lamifil would not be where it is today without its highly qualified staff. Their advanced know-how and many years experience in the processing of aluminium and aluminium alloys provide an excellent basis for developing aluminium products tailored to the requirements of and in collaboration with the customer. Lamifil operates as an independent supplier to leading producers in various sectors, including the cable and steel industries.
Another of Lamifil’s assets is its wide range of wire products for railway electrification. We are especially proud to rely on our extensive experience in this market. We can state without exaggeration that we have built up an enviable position in Europe with alloy wire as our main product.
Besides railway applications, our products easily find their way to customers in the aviation, automotive and electronics industry. Lamifil has thus established itself as the market leader in this segment.
